A brief update

Tue Dec 16, 2008, 9:23 PM
Doing not too bad - I've survived midterms and finals to date. Yay! So - I have a few things from art 422 I'll post when I get that portfolio back, and some more to add from photography. I have to update a fair number of things, and also, format the hard drive over xmas. It needs it. Maybe after xmas I shall try doing a mini features sort of thing - try that, might be fun. I never use journals much.

When I get that printmaking 422 work back, I'll post the artist statement in the journal too for a bit, I think. A body of work focused on developing and exploring one idea - some of the things are already posted under the category 'Serial PSD' prints [link] See if you can tell what sort of theme it has going =)

I've managed to get through mostly all the messages I found after neglecting to do much of anything online through finals week - I think next time I decide to try living at the studio 24/7 I should bring a pillow though. And better toothpaste. Urg. going till 5 AM and sleeping for an hour before waking up till go till 12 at night again gives you the worst 'something crawled in my mouth and died' sort of feeling ever. :P lol.

Anyway. I'm rambling now. (I never do journals. They are... unfamiliar.) How's everyone else? =)

Around 80cm by 60cm with the Plastic foam board. I'll probably try and create a combination of relief and intaglio effects on the one plate. Should be challenging to say the least :) Just had some success with the carving, so I'll be able to implement that into my collagraphs :)

It is harder to work that size.....someone I know works pretty much exclusively at 2x3 feet....sometimes larger, diptych of two 2x3 plates. (crazy) should be challenging. Looking forwards to seeing it!
